That’s Enough

“I am here, at this moment in time. It’s enough.”

-Karl Ove Knausgård, The Morning Star

Some moments ask us to pause and simply notice that we’ve arrived, right here, right now. In a world that constantly pushes for more, faster, better, there’s something quietly powerful about standing still long enough to breathe and take stock of where you are. You don’t have to solve everything right now, map out the future, or become a better version of yourself. Showing up is enough. Soften the urgency and trust that being here is not a placeholder, but a complete and valid place to be.

George H. Waterman III joined us from New London in 2017 to discuss the Visual Art Library, a collection of over 70,000 books and catalogs as well as art periodicals all covering art of the 20th century and contemporary period all over the world. To learn more, listen to the complete interview.

Zeren Oruc spoke with Praxis in 2021 from Belgrade during the pandemic. While there was no formal lockdown where she was, when we talked all indoor exhibition spaces had just opened up after a pause. To learn about the shows she was mounting at the time, and for links to what she’s doing now, listen to the complete interview.
