Seek out those opportunities that will give you the chance to experience the world outside your studio. Aesthetica Magazine is accepting submissions for the 2022 Aesthetica Art Prize. They focus on artists whose work demonstrates innovation and creativity. Japan Media Arts Festival seeks diverse submissions that “carve out a path for a new era.” There are four divisions in this multi-media contest, art, entertainment, animation and manga. Selected works will be exhibited widely in Japan and abroad in events organized by the Agency of Cultural Affairs. For further details, visit the website. Deadline for submissions is September 3.

Sculpture Quadrennial Riga 2024 is accepting applications for those artists interested in a 12-week remote residency. The goal of the residency period is to develop public works of art that will appear in the 2024 event. This residency is free of charge and will be conducted in English.
