How To Achieve The Next Phase

Opportunity doesn’t always present itself, often we must seek it out. For artists, this is especially true. There are abundant ways to enrich your career and your practice, but you must dedicate time to finding and securing those avenues that can advance you in the direction you dream of going. Whether you’re looking for residency, funding, education or more, it is up to you as a solo practitioner and the author of your own destiny to target the opportunities that align with your ultimate goals. Here are a few to get you started.

IG Rote Fabrik in Zurich, Switzerland invites international artists to apply for residency. This program offers the following:

  • Integration within a cultural center
  • Regular exchange with other local artists, cultural workers and studio users at Rote Fabrik
  • The support of a person in charge, appointed by IG Rote Fabrik
  • A working environment in which one feels secure and challenged, due to the presence of many other artists and cultural workers
  • Appropriate infrastructure as agreed upon and according to availability
  • Press and public relations work
  • Opportunities to present work in the work studio in Rote Fabrik
  • Accommodation in the city of Zurich
