What To Do If You Waited Until The Last Minute…

The end of the year is well in sight, and it is time – perhaps even getting past time – to lay out plans for 2023. How will you further your career in the new year? How will you promote your art and ensure that your practice evolves? As a professional artist, your responsibilities include the answers to these questions. Here are a few opportunities to consider.

Photographers worldwide are invited to submit their work to the Canarian Photo Awards 2023. This competition is intended to capture the beauty of our planet, and for the photographer whose work comes out on top, there is a 4,000 euro prize and an invitation to the Gala Dinner in Canary Islands to receive their prize. Cash awards for runners up, too. For more information and to apply, visit the website. Deadline for submissions is December 31.

Pollack-Krasner Foundation offers multiple grants to emerging and established artists allowing them to focus on their work. There are some upcoming deadlines worth checking out on the foundation website.

Professional artists or artist groups are invited to apply for residency at Art House Center in Oberhausen. This program is designed to promote exchange between the arts and society. Selected artists receive furnished living/working quarters, 1,000 euro grant money and 200 euro travel expenses. For more information, visit the website. Deadline for applications is December 31.
