Are You Ready For Renewal?

Spring is upon us, that time of renewal and hope when the world blooms back to life and our spirits lift after the dark of winter. Now is the perfect time to begin thinking about what’s next, to cultivate the garden of opportunity so that you can harvest future success. There are so many ways to advance your career as an artist, from funding opportunities to exhibitions and public art. We have a selection of each for you below this week to get you in the game as we head into a new cycle of life.

Woodstock Artists Association and Museum invites artists from across the U.S. to submit their work to Far & Wide National 2021. This year’s theme is Art Brut, translated from the French as “raw art” and otherwise known as outsider art. The focus is on the raw expression of emotions or a vision. All artistic genres are welcome. For full details, visit the website. There is an entry fee for this opportunity. Deadline is March 30.

NYFA Fiscal Sponsorships are a no-fee funding opportunity for individual artists and emerging arts organizations. This is a quarterly application with four deadlines throughout the year. The first of these is fast approaching, so check out the website and decide if a NYFA Fiscal Sponsorship might be right for you. Deadline for the first quarter is March 31.

The City of Santa Rosa announces an open call to artists living in Northern California interested in a public art opportunity. The call seeks an artist or group of artists to install a site-specific work of art at the Fifth Street Parking Garage. Total available budget for the project is $20K. For more information, visit the website. Deadline for proposals is May 26.
