Now…and Later

Everyone works at their own pace. While some enjoy the space to plot and plan, other like a deadline breathing down their necks. While still more people fall right in the middle and prefer neither too short nor too long a time to get something done. In this installment of our resources blog, I bring you three opportunities. One has a deadline that is but a breath away, one ever so slightly down the road and the third with over a month of luxurious time before final submissions are due. Pick your poison below.

Creators interested in a residency period in Switzerland are encouraged to apply for AIR at Chateau Ruffieux. Residencies are available for artists working in the fields of visual arts, music, literature, theater or cinema. Typically residency lasts around 1-3 months and free room and work space as well as travel cost will be covered. A monthly stipend is also available. To learn more an to apply, visit the website. Artists Without a Cause is seeking submissions from filmmakers engaged in Climate Change. Selected films will be screened in mid-July and should address environmentalism, climate change and the effects of humans on the environment. To learn more and to submit your work, visit the website. Calling all digital artists, North East of North (NEoN) invites those artists working with augmented reality to submit their work to the 2019 open call for their arts festival REACT. Selected artists receive a fee intended to cover research, production costs and any licensing fees and will have their work displayed at the REACT Festival in Dundee, Scotland.
