Tired Of Staying In The Lines?

We are taught to stay in the lines. From our earliest days, we are told to color in the lines, keep our behavior in line, and generally stay in line with the rest of the crowd. Don’t stand out, that way danger lies. But what if all that turned out to be the worst advice imaginable? What if there was a rich life waiting for you outside the lines? I think you know where this is going, and if you’re here reading these words, chances are you’ve already figured out that staying in the lines just isn’t for you. An artist’s life necessarily breaks boundaries. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t require structure. It absolutely does. And we’re here to help you achieve it. Here are a few opportunities to get you motivated and on the path to a life lived fully outside the lines.

The Martin House Creative Residency supports artists creating work inspired by this iconic site, fostering diverse perspectives through onsite residencies, public programs, and interdisciplinary exploration of architecture, art, and culture. In their own words: The Hopper Prize is a grant-making institution and digital archiving platform offering a series of individual artist grants on a bi-annual basis totaling $22,000.00 USD.
