What Are You Up To Now?

As we fade more fully into fall here in the northeast and the holidays approach, this is a good time to start taking stock of how your year went and planning for what’s next. Artists need rest and rejuvenation just as much – if not even more – than anyone, but they also have an obligation to themselves to ensure there is forward momentum happening in their careers. Here are a few opportunities on the horizon to help you plot out the next stops on your journey.

Locust Projects invites artists from all over the world to submit proposals for large-scale, ambitious new work for their 625 sq. ft. PROJECT ROOM. To learn more, visit the website. Deadline for proposals is November 30.

ON::VIEW Artist Residency is accepting applications for artists interested in a free, high-visibility studio space located in the heart of Savannah’s Starland District. In addition to public-facing studio space, residency offers a rich community filled with workshops, performances, public art project and artist talks all of which offer ways for artists to further engage. Alchemy Artist in Residency program, in their own words: “is a unique opportunity to live in an immersive arts community on San Juan Island, connect with the wider SJI community via teaching and outreach activities, and have focused time to create art in an environment that supports collaboration, cross-pollination, and innovation.
