Is It Always This Difficult?

In art, inspiration is only part of the story. Talent can only get you so far. The very real complement to these things is good old-fashioned hard work. To build a successful career, you must be willing to do those things beyond the studio that continue advancing your standing in the art world, whether that’s securing funding, expanding your network with events or residencies, or connecting with galleries to make sure your work finds its way into the world. But all of that is daunting. Where does one even begin? That’s where we come in.
