What Is Your Next Step?

As this tumultuous year creeps toward a close, now is the time to look ahead to 2021 and decide how you will make the most of the time ahead. Although the world may not look the way we hoped it would by now, there is a light at the end of this tunnel. Will you be ready to step forward with your best efforts, having secured opportunities to guide you toward the next phase in your artistic career? We like to say that the only opportunity you absolutely will not get is the one you don’t apply for. Below are a variety of ways you can nurture your career. The next step is up to you.

The Onassis Foundation offers “tailor-made, time-sensitive support for artists and curators living in Greece or anywhere in the world.” Stipends of up to 3,000 € plus support from the AIR team are designed to prepare Onassis fellows for whatever artistic endeavor they are about to embark on. The McColl Center for Art + Innovation, located in Charlotte, North Carolina, is accepting applications for their acclaimed residency program. Regional, national and international artists will be selected to spend a residency period in fall 2021. Visit the website for more information. Deadline for applications is December 31.

Imaginarius Mais, an international festival held in Portugal, has adapted to the realities of COVID. This year they seek five emerging artists from Portugal and abroad to include in a digital version of their annual event.
