Do You Have September On Your Mind? You Should.

September is in view. Another month is coming to an end, and the informal end to the summer season here in the northern hemisphere is at hand. Autumn is a fruitful time. Historically it is a harvest time, and for artists the world over, it can be a prolific season of creating and lining up opportunities. Here are a few to get you started.

Franconia Sculpture Park invites mid-career artists working in sculpture and installation to apply for their fellowship program, which includes a self-directed residency and $7500 stipend. For more information, visit the website. Deadline for applications is September 1.

Corsicana Artist and Writer Residency is accepting applications for the 2023 cycle. There are three terms, each lasting two months, one in winter, one in spring and one in fall. Teton Artlab announces the Uncommon Art Residency at the Anvil Hotel. Artists in residence will receive one to three weeks of complementary accommodation at the Anvil Hotel in downtown Jackson, Wyoming, right next to Grand Teton National Park.
