How to Cope With Seasonal Pressure

The frenzy of the holiday season is quickly reaching fever pitch. Those who celebrate may be feeling immense pressure. Did you remember to buy gifts for everyone on your list? Is your holiday dinner squared away? It’s important to remember to pause. Take time to realize that although they have been set aside, these few days of celebration are also nothing more than just days. Keep your feet on the ground, a good head on your shoulders and remind yourself not to get swept up by the tide of pressure to make things perfect. Focus on what you can do, not on what you can’t. Keep moving forward. Here are a few art opportunities to help you stay grounded.

Sculpture Space offers two-month residencies for sculpture artists. Residency includes shared studio space with specialized equipment as well as six semi-private studios. Housing is provided. For more information and to apply, visit the website. Deadline for applications is January 15.

More information can be found on their website. Application deadline is January 15.

Praxis Center understands that artists grow their careers in the midst of all the other stresses of life. We believe it’s possible to achieve true success, but we also know that it can feel out of reach, particularly during some of the more intense times on the calendar. Rely on us to help keep you moving forward. Give Praxis a try today and see how far we can take you.
