Know Where to Look

Opportunity abounds. When you know where to look, you can find a wealth of possibilities just waiting for you to reach out and grab hold. Whether you have an interest in furthering your education or networking within the community, having your work on display at a gallery or creating public art, there is an abundance of ever changing opportunity at your fingertips today, tomorrow and every day.

The city of Kinston, North Carolina is currently seeking artists or teams of artists from whom to commission a series of public murals. Up to eight artists or teams will be selected to participate in this project. There are many objectives including revitalizing the downtown Kinston area, promoting dialogue around social justice and community issues and revealing the vibrancy of the Kinston community. Funding Arts Broward (FAB!) is a grant program that seeks to enrich the arts community of Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade Counties, Florida. They are currently accepting applications for the 2021 FAB Grant cycle. If you live in the area and wish to apply, visit the website for more details. Deadline for applications is January 24.

New Hampshire State Council on the Arts currently has an active request for proposals (RFP) seeking artists to participate in its commissioned art program. The Percent for Art program allocates a small portion of the state budget to the acquisition or commissioning of artwork. To learn more about the current RFP, visit the website. Deadline for proposals is April 12.
