Vintage

“You are but a tiny cluster upon the vines of heaven, where the grapes are worlds; yet you hold the power to ripen your bitter berries and add to the eternal vintage of cosmic sweetness if so you will.” -Eden Phillpotts

Pour yourself into the universe. Unwind the tangles of your being across space and time, stitch your mind on the fabric of days. Leave indelible ink from the depths of your soul for all who come after to read. Scatter the pieces that make up your moment far and wide, leave them for future generations to hold in their hands and ponder.

Richard Turley is an artist and designer living in New York City. He works for an ad agency for the global team, traveling to offices where he is needed. In this role he works on design projects. Outside of this, he is an artist in his own right occasionally producing a newspaper titled Civilization and is Editorial Director of Interview magazine.

Turley’s Civilization is a sporadic endeavor that takes time and substantial energy to put together, like any work of art or literature.

Listen to the complete interview to hear more about Turley’s pursuits, including a new version of Instagram he and a friend have been considering for some time.

A Few Words to Keep in your Pocket:
