What Do You Have To Say?

An artist must work to create the kind of world we all envision in trying times. Each artist has something to say and must accept the work it takes to get that message to the world. There are multiple avenues for artists to lend their voices to the global conversation, and part of your job is to find them. Each week, we offer a selection to get you started as you make opportunities a regular part of your professional practice.
Augustenborg Project invites artists to apply to participate in a curated group exhibition in Summer 2022. The exhibition will evolve around the theme of sustainability. Please read more in this PDF and visit the website for full details. Deadline for applications is March 20.
Digital America invites artists to submit work for publication. They are interested in a variety of digital art, internet art, design and critical essays questioning, analyzing and/or hacking the tools of digital culture. They suggest taking time to peruse the most recent issues to see whether your work is a good fit. For more information and to submit, visit the websiteRolling submissions.
Begehungen Festival 2022 invites artists to apply for residency of up to four weeks. The theme this year – at the new location of the festival at a disused water park – is PLANSCH. Selected artists receive an allowance and materials cost, free accommodation and reimbursed travel expenses. For more information, and to submit your work, visit the website. Deadline is March 20.
Praxis Center believes that artists are a critical part of global conversation. We understand that it can feel intimidating to reach out for those first opportunities, which is why we have assembled experts who are here to help you understand how to navigate the many facets of the art world. Whether you want help managing your time, your finances, contacting galleries or working on the documents you need to present alongside your work, we have you covered. Give Praxis a try and see how far we can take you.
