What Gets You Going?

What motivates you? What is it that gets you out of bed in the morning ready to take on another day? Perhaps it is your artistic practice or the promise of new adventures. Whatever your drive, the best way to continue motivating yourself as your artistic career progresses is to seek out new opportunities to expand your skills, exposure and practice. Here are a few to get you started.

Oolite Arts invites applications to its 2023 Studio Residency Program. Those selected will work in studio spaces at their Miami Beach location. Artists will have access to a community of artists, renowned curators, arts professionals and institutional partners in Miami. Additionally, residents are able to develop their practice and actively participate in Oolite programs. For more information and to apply, visit the website. Deadline is August 17.

The Canadian Women Artists’ Award (CWAA) invites submissions to their $5,000 cash grant program open to Canadian women artists aged 25-40. This grant is open to Canadian women artists living in New York State who meet the eligibility requirements. For more information and to apply, visit the website. Deadline for submissions is August 30.

Corning Museum of Glass invites BIPOC artists to submit applications for their BIPOC Residency. Applications must include 10 digital images of your work, two letters of recommendation, a written proposal including plans, supplies list, equipment and assistant needs, the best months for you to participate and a resume.
