De Appel invites international curators to apply to an educational residency in Amsterdam. The program runs for ten months from June 2019 to September 2020. Those accepted will be fully immersed in the arts scene in Netherlands with considerable opportunity for travel around the country. Emphasis is placed on positioning participants within the community in order to create an immersive experience. The residency includes workshops, sessions, studio visits as well as research travel. The Neon Museum in Las Vegas has extended the deadline for applications to the 2019 artist in residency program. This residency, supported in part by the national endowment for the arts, calls on visual and performance artists to submit proposals for exhibitions at the museum inspired by the collection there. Artists are encouraged to engage with the museum collection and the Las Vegas community. A travel budget and stipend are available to selected artists. For complete details, see the website. Galleri Heiki Arndt located in Germany invites artists to an open call. The gallery explains this new initiative as follows: ““Fresh Legs” is our most recent exhibition initiative, with which we would like to present art forms such as painting, illustration, drawing, street art, photography, short film, animation and related media. (NO GRAPHIC) Together with our new cooperation partner, the Inselgalerie Berlin, we create this year,a platform for the public to meet each other and to discuss the art of these fields together.
