We just love artist testimonials here at Praxis. They remind us why we do what we do and they keep us inspired to continue providing the very best to each and every one of our students. Some testimonials need very little introduction and this one from Praxis student Clyde is one just like that. In his own words:
“Hey Praxis members, I need to post here more often some of success I’ve enjoyed from Brainard Carey and teams, teaching. One of the first things that I worked on after joining this past Nov 2018, was my artist web site.
Brainard Carey reviewed it, and made some suggestions. Basically to split the site up.. because I had my art located with my old time radio internet station site. So ended up sprucing up and utilizing an artist site with the Fine Art America platform.
Next Brainard Carey recommended and Julia Tolstrup a re-write of my ABOUT and Artist statement. So I did it and with just a few miner tweaks from Julia Tolstrup it’s perfect.
Now the big bomb for me at the time Brainard Carey recommended I start posting to a blog, connected to the site. Well unknown to me, until I found it the site had a built in blog.
So I was on a roll.. forcing myself to blog at least once a week and more. Cross posting into my social media accounts.
Here’s some RESULTS.. I had the FAA site account since Dec 2017 and to Nov 2018 only 16000 visitor’s or so.. Drum roll… From Dec 2018 to present over 18080 visitors! In just a FIVE months I’ve gained well over 2000 new visitors on a platform that is FLOODED with artists from around the world.
I’ve followed the recommendations of Brainard Carey for cross posting to social media, blogging, making your art visible front and center on your web site.. improved artists statement, about page, etc.. etc.. etc..
At the same time, the site is setup with my social media so that I’m connected directly or in-directly with the six art platforms that sell my art on home decor and apparel products.
Since the beginning of the year, every month I’ve sold something from three of those sites. I give credit to some of what Brainard Carey teaches here.
