You Are Here!

Consider the fact that you are here. Against some pretty incalculable odds, everything since the beginning of time has aligned in such a way that you are seated or stood there reading these words. It’s enough to make you really pause when you give it some thought. Celebrate that unlikely chance – use your time here to do things that bring joy to you and to the world around you. Have the deep conversations, make even more art, seek out opportunities to engage with the time you have.

The Shelley & Donald Rubin Foundation’s Sight/Geist program supports emerging NYC-based film and performance artists creating socially engaged, experimental work, offering exhibition opportunities, artist fees, and professional support at The 8th Floor. Learn more at the website. Deadline is July 5.

Pine Meadow Ranch Center for Arts & Agriculture offers residencies that unite art, science, conservation, and traditional crafts. Residents gain time, space, and community engagement opportunities while contributing to ranch life and local culture. For more information and to apply, visit the website. Deadline is July 6.

Even before formalizing its residency program, Pioneer Works championed emerging artists through space, resources, and collaboration. Selected annually through an open call, residents join a dynamic community, public programs, and a growing alumni network. Check the website for more details. Deadline is July 13.

Praxis Center is also here. We are a collection of humans, all on the planet at the very same time, who believe fully that an art career is not only worthy, it is possible. It is our main purpose to help artists navigate their way to the life they have always envisioned. Whatever that means for you, let us help you find it.
