Don’t Stop Now

Giving up is easy, but it almost never gets you where you want to be. Pursuing a career in the art world is hard, but with the right resources it can prove extremely rewarding. Stay the course. Don’t let people around you questioning your decision bring you down. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking it’s impossible to accomplish this. It isn’t. Here are some upcoming deadlines to keep you moving forward.

The Eliza Moore Fellowship awards $10,000 and a 2–5 week residency to an exceptional early-career artist exploring plants, gardens, or landscapes through visual, literary, musical, or performing arts. Learn more at the website. Deadline for applications is May 31.

The JBSF awards a $20,000 annual grant, alternating between sculpture (odd years) and writing (even years). 2025 supports sculpture; applications are open. Projects must be completed within one year. Visit the website for more information. Deadline is May 31.

Artadia offers annual awards in seven cities, supporting diverse artists with funding, networking, and visibility. Apply via Submittable only; email submissions are not accepted. For more information and to submit, visit the website. Next deadline is for San Francisco Bay Area on June 1. Further deadlines for other cities follow.
