Get Lost

Sometimes it feels like we are walking a straight line. But other times it can feel a lot like you’ve wandered into a slightly off-kilter map. If his is one of those weeks, lean into it. Follow your curiosity where it leads, be open to meaning from unexpected corners, and trust that even detours have something to show us.

Giordanne Salley joined us to talk about Time Flows, her exhibition at My Pet Ram Gallery running until May 3. The new paintings in this show are joined by a common theme – that of a universal idea of consciousness or how one might experience the passage of time. Additionally there are strong ties to water as a metaphor for the feeling of the passage of time as part of the human experience. To hear more, listen to the complete interview.

Christina Kruse took time out to discuss Field Agents, her current show at New Discretions Gallery. In selecting the title, Kruse contemplated people wandering the world seeking their place and their space. The idea reminded her of agents in the field looking for something every single day.
