Show Up Anyway

Sometimes resilience stops feeling like a strength and starts feeling almost automatic. These are the times when you wake up exhausted, stretched thin, and unsure how much more you can carry. Persevering at times like this doesn’t have to look heroic – it can be as simple as answering the email, showing up to the conversation, or just getting through the day. Despite the overwhelm of these moments, something stubborn inside us keeps moving forward. After all, survival itself is a form of hope.

The Martin House Creative Residency supports artists developing new, site-inspired work through immersive residencies, public engagement, and interdisciplinary exploration rooted in architecture, culture, history, and design. Learn more at the website. Deadline is May 13.

Ragdale is a nonprofit artist residency in Lake Forest, Illinois, hosting nearly 200 artists annually for interdisciplinary 18-day retreats that provide time, space, community, and inspiration to create new work. Visit the website for more information. Deadline is May 15.
