“I could leave the world with today in my eyes.” -Truman Capote, A Christmas Memory
Ultimately, a life is made up of moments that become memories. During this season of the year, those moments and memories can feel heightened for many, for better or worse. The holidays evoke a manner of strong emotions, some warm and nostalgic, others difficult and cold. To manage these days of intensity, give yourself permission to be gentle and kind with your own psyche. Practice self-care in the form of walks outside and plenty of rest.
Bumin Kim joined us to discuss her exhibition, The Seasons, which ran until November 24 at SWPK Gallery. The title is inspired by Tchaikovsky’s musical composition of the same name, a nod to Kim’s habit of listening to music while she works. The show is a collection of 12 pieces, each named after a month. To learn more, listen to the complete interview.

We talked about The Visual Art Library, a site that contained, at the time, 60,000-70,000 books and catalogs from around the world. Today, the historic Harris Building in New London contains more than 100,000 items and the website offers a searchable database of these resources. To learn more, listen to the complete interview.
